I hear you say し and よん for 四
Does it matter which one I use?
When we count numbers (e.g. 1 to 10) some people say よん and other people say し. It doesn’t matter which one you use. But we use only よん (or it changes to よっ, よ depending on the counters used with) when we count things with counters. 4個(よんこ), 4歳(よんさい), 4年(よねん), 4本(よんほん) etc. Japanese counting system is a bit complicated😅 You can learn more about counters in these videos.
